We are seeking to add talented individuals to our exceptional team of blockchain developers at Ava Labs. With a focus on creating high-performance solutions for Web3 on the Avalanche platform, we are pushing the boundaries of permissionless networks. Our team is comprised of Cornell computer scientists, Wall Street experts, and pioneers in the Web3 space, all working together to redefine the way people create value with blockchain technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enhance the functionality of the Avalanche Primary Network, making it easier and more accessible to deploy and interact with Subnets.
• Develop robust abstractions over the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) to optimize its core components for use on Avalanche.
• Write and maintain low-level libraries for Custom Virtual Machines to communicate with AvalancheGo.

Here are some specific projects you could contribute to:

• Implement BLS Multi-Signatures to improve the scalability of P-Chain uptime voting.
• Transition Subnets to use dynamic fees for pricing Subnet registration.
• Strengthen the security of Permissionless Subnets with Avalanche.
• Enable Cross-Subnet Communication across the Avalanche Network using Avalanche Warp Messaging.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong belief in a future where blockchain technology promotes fairness and freedom for all.
• Desire to contribute to open-source code and engage with the community.
• Proficiency in coding and preference for practical implementation over lengthy technical documentation.
• Self-driven and proactive in finding and developing valuable projects.
• Strong commitment to code quality and performance, prioritizing thorough testing before release.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Demonstrated expertise in relevant subject areas, with a bonus for open-source code or published work.
• Experience programming in Golang or Rust.

Salary Range: $190,400 to $238,000 (Actual compensation may vary based on experience and location.)
