We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our team tasked with designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing software for various venture projects that are closely related to our core businesses. These projects are rapidly launched with a lean team. The role involves active participation in designing various elements crucial for scalable applications, spanning from frontend UI to backend infrastructure.
Role summary
As the Banking Service Tech Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the foundational systems and leading technical initiatives for our banking services. Responsibilities include orchestrating, constructing, and upholding the core banking infrastructure, collaborating closely with multifaceted teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, security protocols, and exceptional customer experiences. This leadership position necessitates technical proficiency as well as robust people management skills to steer high-performing teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Spearhead the technical design and integration of core banking systems using Golang or Ruby on Rails
- Establish the groundwork for the digital banking platform, encompassing payment networks, account management, and transaction processing
- Design and implement secure and scalable banking APIs adhering to Open API requirements
- Collaborate with compliance teams to implement effective KYC/AML systems and frameworks
- Develop data reporting mechanisms that fulfill regulatory demands and business intelligence needs
- Architect and deploy financial treasury procedures, FX exchange capacities, and crediting systems
- Guide the team in integrating with payment networks and banking associates
- Ensure all systems meet stringent regulatory requirements and security benchmarks
- Cultivate, mentor, and manage engineering teams, providing career progression and performance evaluations
- Promote engineering excellence through best practices, code assessments, and continual enhancements
- Manage project schedules, resource allocations, and technical deliverables efficiently

Prerequisite Qualifications
- More than 8 years of software development experience, with a minimum of 5 years in financial technology realm
- Over 3 years of people leadership experience, guiding engineering squads of 5 or more members
- Proficient in Golang or Ruby on Rails
- Demonstrated capacity in constructing and scaling banking or financial services platforms
- In-depth comprehension of banking processes, payment networks, and financial systems
- Extensive experience in implementing KYC/AML solutions and regulatory compliance structures
- Knowledge of data security protocols pertinent to financial institutions
- Familiarity with treasury management systems, foreign exchange dealings, and crediting processes
- Strong grasp of RESTful APIs and Open API specifications
- Proficiency in microservices architecture and cloud-native applications

📢 The Opportunity: Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR)
We are seeking a technical co-founder or EIR to help bring a newly incubated venture infrastructure product to market. This is a 3-month remote contract role, ideal for builders with Web3 and AI experience who want to launch a company with hands-on support.
Iron Key has developed proprietary AI tools for internal workflows and is exploring opportunities to externalize these as software-based consulting services or standalone software products. As an EIR, you’ll play a critical role in shaping, launching, and scaling these innovations.

Lead Startup Development – Take an incubated idea from concept to market launch.
Drive Innovation – Bring your own venture idea or work on an existing Iron Key product.
Strategic Execution – Develop and implement growth strategies.
Hands-on AI & Web3 Work – Build and iterate on cutting-edge solutions in AI and blockchain.
Leverage Resources – Work alongside investors, advisors, and a global network to accelerate your startup.
🎯 What We’re Looking For
Proven entrepreneurial experience – Ideally, you’ve built a startup before (even if it failed).
Deep Web3 or AI expertise – Hands-on experience in AI, blockchain, or fintech is a must.
Strong problem-solving mindset – Ability to pivot, adapt, and execute in fast-changing environments.
Leadership & Vision – You’re a self-starter who can drive a business forward.
