As head of Derivatives Operations, you will take on a pivotal role by overseeing the complete post-trade workflow for intricate derivative products within the digital asset realm, focusing on options, futures, and structured products. Your responsibilities will involve managing critical operational aspects for client-facing trading activities, ensuring efficient settlement, margin management, reconciliation, and operational risk mitigation. Drawing on your in-depth knowledge of OTC derivatives, strong familiarity with crypto-native infrastructure, and adeptness in both traditional and crypto market frameworks, you will lead the development of essential processes, solve operational challenges on a large scale, and play a key role in expanding Anchorage Digital's institutional trading services.

Technical Skills
- Apply your profound understanding of customary financial services, products, and strategies to offer strategic guidance and support to our clients.
- Administer and support trade capture, confirmation, margining, and settlement functions across various digital asset derivative products, including bilateral OTC derivatives and exchange-traded digital asset derivatives.
- Lead collateral and margin workflows, encompassing IM and VM calculations, lifecycle events, reconciliations, and fund transfers.
- Collaborate with trading, risk, legal, compliance, and finance teams to ensure adherence to the highest institutional standards.
- Reconcile positions, valuations, and P&L between internal ledgers and external platforms.
- Utilize analytics tools such as Python, SQL, and Excel to automate and streamline operational workflows, from trade capture to cash and collateral management.
- Develop a solid understanding of the crypto industry landscape, tokens, protocols, and their varied applications like staking and governance.
Complexity and Impact of Work
- Maneuver through the unique operational intricacies of digital asset derivatives.
- Manage multiple product lines and counterparties, considering different time zones and legal jurisdictions while serving as a subject matter expert on digital derivatives workflows.
- Identify opportunities to optimize operational processes through tooling, controls, and automation.
- Drive internal projects and enhancements to streamline processes and support new tasks.
- Prioritize tasks effectively by ensuring accuracy within Client and Counterparty monitoring tools.
- Evaluate risks to the organization and clients and resolve complex issues thoughtfully.
- Contribute to defining standards and best practices for digital asset derivatives operations in an evolving market landscape.

- Stay informed on evolving cryptocurrency industry trends, regulatory guidelines, and best practices concerning settlements and custodial services.
- Possess a comprehensive grasp of different cryptocurrencies, their underlying technologies, and custodial operational procedures.

- Cultivate collaborative relationships across interdepartmental teams to achieve collective objectives.
Communication and Influence
- Mentor team members as needed and identify areas for process improvement.

- Establish strong partnerships with key stakeholders, especially within Compliance and Product departments, as well as external counterparties.
- Collaborate efficiently with internal stakeholders like traders, operations teams, compliance officers, and executives to resolve settlement-related issues.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting settlement activities for institutional clients in traditional asset classes and crypto assets.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and agility in adapting to evolving situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python and SQL is an advantage.
- Understanding of crypto-native institutions is beneficial.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to early-stage startups.
- Appreciation for the soundtrack of Hamilton.
