Trading Reliability Engineer - Digital Assets

As a pivotal member of the team, you will be tasked with ensuring the performance and stability of our proprietary trading systems and associated hardware within our technology environment. Your responsibilities will include overseeing technical issues related to our in-house trading applications, directly influencing the company's performance. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with various departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of how our proprietary trading applications operate, evolve, and integrate.
Responsibilities
- Develop proficiency in latency-sensitive trading application architectures, participate in troubleshooting in a fast-paced setting, and implement effective solutions.
- Develop, test, and integrate monitoring solutions using APIs from our proprietary trading applications to offer insights into the well-being and performance of our trading ecosystem.
- Collaborate with system administrators to optimize our Linux-based trading environments utilizing tools from up-to-date Linux distributions.
- Contribute to the ongoing endeavor of fully automating our infrastructure and application management.
- Create, leverage, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
- Execute user acceptance testing on internal application stacks to enhance comprehension of how traders and supporting units leverage our software.
- Provide technical specifications for the development process for continual enhancement of the operational efficiency of our applications.
- Augment proficiency in Python or other scripting languages by collaborating with trading desks to automate intricate workflows.
Requirements for Success
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 0-4 years of work experience.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Competence in one of the following programming languages: Python or C++.
- Basic knowledge and interest in networking is advantageous.
- Experience with cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies is a definite asset.
- Understanding and/or curiosity in technologies like Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, HDFS is beneficial.
- Strong teamwork ethos, eagerness to acquire new skills.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
