Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations into customer activities to identify potential risks like money laundering.
- Analyze customer behavior and profiles to ascertain the need for further scrutiny.
- Investigate alerts from on-chain and off-chain transaction monitoring.
- Utilize blockchain analytics tools such as Elliptic, Chainalysis, TRM for transaction screening.
- Keep a vigilant eye on any unusual activities or potential AML red flags.
- Cultivate strong cross-departmental relationships to foster operational cohesion.
- Engage in internal and external training programs related to AML/CFT and other pertinent subjects.
- Execute general administrative tasks and additional activities aligned with business needs in the aforementioned areas.
Requirements:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 2 years of experience in AML/CTF transaction monitoring, ideally in a financial institution or cryptocurrency firm.
- Basic proficiency in employing blockchain monitoring/analytics tools like Chainalysis, Elliptic, TRM.
- Adequate expertise in conducting risk assessments, periodic/trigger reviews, and enhanced due diligence.
- Proficient in compliance functions with strong analytical problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment amidst uncertainties.
- Proactive, dedicated, and innovative with a focus on maximizing efficiency and value through tool development.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, dedicated to providing enhanced service to business clients.
- Skilled at posing pertinent queries and exhibiting sound business judgment while collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in English (oral and written), additional language skills are advantageous.
- Fundamental grasp of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, coupled with a passionate interest in the industry and a willingness to learn.
