Overview

Our client is looking for a highly experienced and strategic professional to fill the role of Vice President of Human Resources. The ideal candidate will possess strong buy-side experience, strategic thinking capabilities, and hands-on execution skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the company's overarching business goals
  • Take charge of all HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compensation
  • Create and manage employee development programs to facilitate growth and improve retention rates
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • Spearhead company culture initiatives and employee engagement programs
  • Offer strategic HR advice to the executive team
  • Utilize HR technologies and analytics to enhance efficiency and support decision-making processes

Qualifications

  • Proven track record as a VP of HR or similar senior HR role in a hedge fund or buy-side firm
  • Prior experience in start-up environments is highly desirable
  • Possess a strong strategic mindset with the ability to implement HR initiatives from a business perspective
  • Willingness to engage in hands-on tasks across all levels of the organization
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance standards
  • Familiarity with HR technologies and leveraging data for decision-making
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
