About the Opportunity

The individual in this role will focus on fostering the growth of the Kadena ecosystem by engaging in strategic planning and making well-considered decisions. Collaborating closely with the Business Development and Strategy teams, staying informed on current and future developments within Kadena, and translating this knowledge into clear, actionable business and strategic roadmaps are key responsibilities. The aim is to elevate Kadena and its ecosystem to a significant position in the cryptocurrency space.

The ideal candidate should familiarize themselves with existing Kadena processes and organizational culture to uphold and promote these values throughout the ecosystem. As new projects emerge, there may be a need to concentrate on the growth, management, and scaling of associated companies. These initiatives may involve ecosystem investment endeavors and other strategic prospects that demand the direct involvement or staffing of Kadena staff.

Given the anticipated rapid and dynamic growth of the Kadena ecosystem in the years ahead, the candidate must be adept at recognizing and seizing emerging opportunities quickly and be willing to assume roles that contribute optimally to ecosystem expansion. How You'll Make An Impact

  • Engage directly with Kadena's leadership to refine business strategies
  • Establish and oversee a comprehensive Business Development department budget
  • Supervise the Kadena grants program, targeting annual grants exceeding $10 million
  • Develop and manage crucial partnerships for Kadena
  • Recruit, supervise, mentor, and train Business Development team members to ensure goal achievement in lead generation and opportunity qualification
  • Foster and maintain robust relationships while actively pursuing new business prospects
  • Address any emerging operational or business needs within Kadena or affiliated companies
  • Collaborate with the marketing department for community and communication purposes
  • Work alongside the engineering department for technical assessments of grants and partnerships
  • Maintain up-to-date progress and timeline documentation for goals
  • Collaborate with companies in the Kadena ecosystem, offering support for business and managerial requirements

What Sets You Apart

  • 5+ years of financial and/or business development experience
  • 5+ years of experience in complex business operations and planning
  • 5+ years of mentoring individuals in business and management aspects
  • Proficiency in creating top-tier spreadsheets and presentations
  • Background or familiarity with cryptocurrencies is preferred
  • Passion for continuous improvement and producing high-quality business documents for internal or external use
  • B.S. or M.S. in Business/Finance preferred

Our Offerings

This position offers an annual starting salary range of $170,000 - $270,000, along with the benefits listed below. The actual compensation is determined by various factors like individual skills and experience.
