Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced leader to partner with the Treasurer and develop a world-class Treasury Execution, Client Services, and Operations functions on a global scale. This role will involve managing various aspects of Circle's operations, including balance sheet management for new product offerings and digital assets, as well as overseeing risk management and operational processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that add value to Circle's customers and shareholders. Additionally, you will lead the development of processes and controls that exceed regulatory requirements. This is an opportunity to build a strategic function that is vital to Circle's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and scale an exceptional firmwide operations function to support cryptocurrency and fiat flows on a 24/7 basis.
• Develop and implement a global foreign exchange strategy for cryptocurrency and fiat operations.
• Create and implement credit offerings to improve the efficiency of the stablecoin ecosystem.
• Manage corporate balance sheet risks, including interest rate, foreign exchange, and credit risks.
• Support new product launches and lines of business with effective risk management processes and financial safeguards.
• Provide operational support to the OTC market-making business, including asset custody, reporting, and margin operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Build and manage a global network of transaction banking partners to enable seamless fiat on- and off-ramps for stablecoin liquidity.
• Oversee relationships with financial service providers for treasury operations.
• Take charge of fiat operations, including funds flows, exception handling, and reporting.
• Automate operational and reconciliation processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
• Maintain operational controls, policies, standards, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in treasury, banking, payments, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in team management and leadership.
• Experience in managing balance sheet risks and building and scaling operations functions.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Interest in macroeconomics and business cycle modeling.
• Familiarity with the cryptocurrency and web3 ecosystems and their interaction with traditional finance.
• Advanced Excel skills and/or basic programming capabilities (SQL, Python, AppScript, VBA, etc.).
• Experience with Slack, Apple MacOS, and GSuite.

Base Pay Range: $252,500 - $332,500

Annual Bonus Target: 30%

Equity & Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans. Circle has a discretionary vacation policy along with 10 days of paid sick leave per year and 11 paid holidays per year in the U.S.
