Next.js + Express/Mongo — Wire Demo to Live API (JWT)
What already exists
- Next.js frontend (dashboard, login, portfolio views) is largely built
- UI currently runs on mock / Zustand data — this is a demo, not production
What we need now
- Build / finish a Node.js + Express backend with MongoDB
- JWT auth (login, protected routes, cookies/headers as appropriate)
- Replace mocked frontend data with live API calls
- Clean loading / error states and stable feature-branch delivery
Stack (fixed for this phase)
- Frontend: Next.js, React, TypeScript
- Backend: Node.js, Express, MongoDB, JWT
- Not hiring for Solidity / smart contracts in this phase
Engagement
- Roughly 20–40 hours/week
- Hourly or fixed Phase 1 scope both OK
