Account Executive

About the Role: We are in search of an Account Executive based in South Korea to drive Figment's growth and visibility in the region. We are looking for individuals who embrace ambiguity and uncertainty, taking initiative to make a meaningful impact and contribute to a collaborative company culture.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate business growth in South Korea and Japan, focusing on identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to drive customer acquisition and revenue.
- Oversee the Region's Profit & Loss statements.
- Support significant regulatory and policy initiatives, ensuring Figment's compliance with local regulations.
- Represent Figment in the region through media engagements, conferences, client meetings, and regulatory interactions.
- Collaborate with US and Canada teams to develop tailored products and user experiences for regional clients.
- Lead Figment's expansion strategy through Channel Partnerships and Direct client relationships.
- Foster key partnerships, scout M&A opportunities, and remain attuned to market trends in the region.
- Partner closely with North American teams to maintain operational excellence and uphold Figment's values locally.
Desired Skills:
- Strong entrepreneurial background in leading sales initiatives within the South Korean market.
- Sound knowledge of regulatory landscapes in South Korea and Japan, especially within the fintech sector.
- Experience in business development, particularly in the payments space.
- Past engagement with regulators and exposure to regulatory oversight.
- Excellent communication skills in Korean and English, and adept at working effectively in a remote-first organization.
- Familiarity with Japanese language is a plus.
- Understanding of regulated financial services operations.
- Interest in the crypto/blockchain industry, preferably with knowledge of staking.
- Experience in multi-national organizations, particularly with North American operations.
- Self-driven individual interested in growing business in a rapidly evolving sector.
- Solution-oriented mindset, continuously seeking efficient methods to drive success.
