About the Role:
This internship is a component of Tech Seeds 2026, a program designed to identify and nurture young talent well-versed in AI technology. As an Applied AI Agent Engineer, you will work hands-on at the intersection of LLMs and production systems, collaborating with full-time engineers on various tasks related to agent workflows, tool integrations, backend services, and AI system architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of AI agent workflows and LLM-powered application components.
- Develop and test prompt strategies, retrieval flows, tool logic, and backend integrations.
- Aid in defining evaluation metrics, conducting benchmarks, and analyzing failure scenarios.
- Enhance system performance across quality, latency, reliability, safety, and cost aspects.
- Employ AI coding tools as part of the standard workflow to accelerate development and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with teams to grasp the development and enhancement of AI systems in production.
- Contribute to backend services, APIs, internal tools, or user interfaces when required.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Expected graduation in 2026 or 2027.
- Proficient in Python or Java programming with a preference for familiarity with backend engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working with APIs, debugging, and data.
- Demonstrated curiosity in LLMs, AI agents, automation, and real-world system design.
- Ability to tackle ambiguous problems effectively and translate ideas into functional prototypes.
- Quick learner comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Available for a full-time 6-month commitment.

- Involvement in personal projects or coursework related to LLM applications, agent systems, automation, or AI-assisted development.
- Familiarity with AI tools like OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, Hugging Face, LangChain, vector databases, or workflow tools.
