Working at Wintermute

We seek a Core Developer to spearhead the creation of an automated trade reconciliation system. This greenfield endeavor involves close collaboration with the Head of Core Development, CTO, Middle Office Lead, and traders.

The initiative aims to synchronize order and transfer details from the extensive array of cryptocurrency exchanges we engage with, thus generating near-live middle office confirmations, reconciled positions, real-time alerts, and historical reports. Operating on a Linux platform, the primary development language will be Python, interacting with a C++ stack, while delivering a highly efficient solution capable of reconciling a substantial volume of up to 100M transactions daily.

Ideal for individuals with a knack for Python and an interest in constructing cutting-edge high-performance systems and advancing knowledge in system architecture, finance, and trading, prior experience in crypto exchanges is not mandatory, although enthusiasm for financial and crypto markets is advantageous.

Hard skills requirements

• A minimum of 3 years' proficiency in Python 3 development (inclusive of academic or personal projects)
• Familiarity with reconciliation, risk, or other middle-office systems
• Proficiency in constructing/updating and utilizing SQL-based databases
• Profound Linux familiarity on desktops and servers
• Competency in git or any other source versioning systems
• Interest in algorithmic trading and financial markets
• Additional C++ proficiency would be a benefit, albeit not crucial
