Responsibilities:
In your role on the Data Engineering - Business ETL team, you are responsible for maintaining the data warehouse and pipelines essential for financial and regulatory reporting. Crucial to supporting business functions like Finance, Accounting, and Analytics, your efforts drive operational efficiency and reveal insights to guide business expansion. Your role involves optimizing data movement throughout the company, emphasizing data accuracy and quality to enhance transparency and accountability.
Key Activities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and manage scalable data processes for new and existing products.
- Develop, deploy, and manage data ETL/ELT pipelines for comprehensive data analysis and reporting needs.
- Integrating data for internal and customer applications to support analytical, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Establish connections with third-party systems to access and transmit diverse datasets.
- Continuously enhance the operations, monitoring, and performance of the data warehouse.
- Propose innovative approaches to data storage and processing within and outside data platforms and business teams.
- Contribute to building a scalable data platform that consolidates disparate datasets for varied business needs.
- Serve as an expert in data modeling, pipeline development, data quality assurance, and financial data warehousing.
Qualifications:
For Data Engineer (II)
- 2+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
- Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Scala, Python).
- Mastery of SQL in big data warehouse systems like Snowflake, BigQuery, and Databricks.
- Exposure to workflow orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, and DBT.
- Familiarity with Cloud Services (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
- Experience in managing financial data, ideally in areas like payment systems and blockchains.
- Knowledge of open-source or related big data technologies.
- Adaptability to learn swiftly and deliver on medium-complexity projects.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within remote teams.
Additional Details:
- This position offers day-one PERM sponsorship for eligible candidates.
- Compensation ranges are influenced by various factors, including experience, skills, and organizational requirements.
- Base Pay Range: $120,000 - $162,500
- Annual Bonus Target: 10%
