About the Role:
As a DevOps and Infra Engineer at Toku, you will play a pivotal role in executing high-impact projects, focusing on user-facing products. Your responsibilities will directly contribute to enhancing user experiences and product efficiency.
Toku has ambitious plans, primarily focused on developing cutting-edge token compensation infrastructure bridging the gap between digital and real-world solutions. In this role, you will drive technical objectives, collaborate closely with the founders, and actively contribute to coding activities.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with the sales and product teams, aiding in decision-making and strategy planning.
- Advocate for best practices in code quality, strong typing, and API design, ensuring high technical standards.
- Create and maintain documented best practices to facilitate team scalability and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing existing practices and upholding Toku's technical quality benchmarks.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in venture-backed startups.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and scaling infrastructure.
- 3-4 years of expertise in infrastructure and tooling with a focus on developer productivity.
- 1-2 years of experience in Javascript or Typescript.
- 1-2 years of familiarity with Digital Ocean, considered a plus.
Competencies:
- Proficient in writing quality, maintainable code within an agile, fast-paced software engineering environment.
- Demonstrated ability to see projects through to successful completion across various technologies and systems.
- Self-driven with a proactive approach to implementing new ideas independently.
- Skilled at integrating diverse services and processes even without prior experience with them.
- Experienced in nurturing a high-quality code environment and fostering continuous improvement.
- Interest in or experience with remote-first startup environments.
- Resourceful and willing to dive deep into projects.
- Strong teamwork, analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in founding companies or leading side projects.
