Description
The team responsible for developing and maintaining a state-of-the-art trading platform is looking for a DevOps Database Administrator. This team operates globally across several regions, aiming to deliver a seamless and secure trading experience for clients. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the application team and DevOps to ensure the high performance and SLA of key services within the ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, configure, install, and support databases
- Assist in database upgrades, security tool implementation, vulnerability checks, server upgrades, and migration
- Handle platform activities including backup, restoration, troubleshooting, SQL performance tuning, monitoring usage, and capacity planning
- Develop and maintain crucial database documentation and standardize operational procedures, security guidelines, deployment architecture, component versions, and patch management decisions
- Automate operations and processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
- Effectively communicate and escalate issues, ensuring timely resolution
Requirements
- Strong communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Aurora, ClickHouse, and Scylla database administration
- Experience in database architecture design, installation, migration, and upgrades
- Knowledge of AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes configuration
- Familiarity with Linux, Network Concepts, and GitOps with ArgoCD is a bonus
