Director of Operations
Polymer Labs is dedicated to revolutionizing the new internet by creating a neutral, open, permissionless base layer. We are leading the development of Ethereum’s Interoperability Hub, aiming to enhance security, user experience, and functionality for the decentralized web. Our exceptional team comprises experts from web2 and web3 realms, focused on tackling the intricate challenges of web3 interoperability infrastructure.
We are looking for a Director of Operations to drive operational excellence throughout our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for leading various initiatives, optimizing processes, and ensuring seamless execution amidst competing priorities. Your proactive and hands-on approach, coupled with experience in fast-paced startup environments, will be vital in enhancing efficiency and fostering collaboration across teams. You will play a key role in managing internal operations to maintain alignment and support the company's growth trajectory.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Operations team to create and execute operational strategies.
- Implement efficient processes to boost productivity and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering team to facilitate coordination across departments.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement best practices to improve interdepartmental efficiency.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress to achieve project objectives.
- Proactively address risks and issues, employing mitigation strategies when necessary.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancement.
- Lead and motivate the operations team, offering guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
- Identify training needs and support professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in operations management within a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Adaptability to dynamic and rapidly changing environments.
- Experience in web3 technologies.
