Engineering Manager - Mobile (React Native)

BitGo is in search of an experienced Engineering Manager adept in React Native to lead the Mobile team, driving the development of cross-platform mobile applications to enhance user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of proficient engineers, fostering a dynamic culture of open communication, craftsmanship, and ownership
• Manage team growth, emphasizing a culture of collaboration and excellence
• Ensure quality and timely delivery of team projects
• Direct the design and implementation of advanced applications for iOS and Android platforms using React Native
• Collaborate with various teams to define, design, and implement new features
• Act as a liaison between engineering teams and other stakeholders
• Drive accountability for operational efficiency, client experience enhancements, and service reliability
• Encourage comprehensive documentation and knowledge sharing
• Work closely with management and product teams to strategize, estimate, and prioritize roadmap objectives
• Ensure team alignment with overarching company goals and client expectations

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in mobile app development with React Native
• Over 8 years' background as a software engineer, with 2+ years in a managerial capacity leading engineers
• Proficient debugging skills and understanding of complex system architectures
• Thorough knowledge of mobile development life cycle and design principles
• Proven experience in recruitment and management of engineering talent
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams to achieve broader departmental objectives
• Self-driven and adaptable with strong problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field
• Proficiency in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in native mobile development (iOS/Android) is beneficial
• Interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology
• Prior exposure to the financial industry
