We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team focused on designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing software for a variety of projects that complement our primary business operations. The projects undertaken are fast-paced and lean in nature. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in designing various components that support scalable applications, spanning from frontend user interface development to backend infrastructure setup.
Our Business Automation team is responsible for creating innovative software, tooling, and automation used in operating a leading cryptocurrency company with a strong focus on security.
In this role, we are searching for independent individuals who can drive progress in a dynamic business environment. We value candidates who are dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and possess a problem-solving mindset.
As part of the team, you will collaborate with internal teams across various domains critical to the success of the company, focusing on high availability products and essential tooling.
Key areas where your contributions will be crucial include Compliance/KYC, Customer Service, Payments/Risk, New product requirements, Trading, and Blockchain.
The role involves working remotely within U.K. and Hong Kong time zones.
Requirements:
- Develop new software, tooling, and automation to support internal teams
- Enhance distributed and mission-critical services iteratively
- Manage project priorities and deliver high-quality, tested code
- Engage in end-to-end web or mobile application development
- Proficiency in at least one backend language, with a preference for Elixir, Node.js, or Ruby
- Experience in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue), Kotlin, Swift, or Test Driven Development
- Basic familiarity with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
Preferred qualifications:
- Ability to mentor and teach others
- Understanding of Domain Driven Design and Functional Programming
- Experience in DevOps/Cloud Infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) and Distributed System Design
- Knowledge of Event Driven Design, Service/site reliability, and Application monitoring
- Exposure to Blockchain/Web3 Development, Account Auditing, Compliance and KYC, and Customer Relations Management
