What You’ll Be Doing

In the capacity of Head of Finance, you will oversee all financial aspects at Eigen Labs, shaping the organization's financial trajectory with precision and foresight. Your responsibilities will span strategic planning, financial management, and team leadership.

  • Development and execution of financial strategies to support Eigen Labs' growth and goals.
  • Supervision of accounting functions, encompassing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Efficient management of cash flow, investments, and capital allocation to optimize financial performance.
  • Establishment and enforcement of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provision of strategic financial guidance to influence decision-making across the company.
  • Collaboration with other departments to assess financial implications of business initiatives and investments.
  • Maintenance of relationships with external stakeholders, such as investors, accountants, and tax advisors.
  • Understanding and management of financial aspects unique to on-chain activities.
  • Formation and leadership of a top-performing finance and accounting team, including overseeing FP&A duties until team establishment is complete.

You Need These Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of finance experience, ideally in a startup or high-growth context, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA certification preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to excel in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Demonstrated success in guiding a company through private financing procedures.
  • Proven track record in managing and developing finance and accounting teams.
  • Exceptional financial modeling capabilities.

It Would Be Nice If You

  • Possess extensive knowledge of financial aspects related to blockchain or crypto projects.
  • Are comfortable working in a partially remote setup and open to occasional travel.
  • Have experience in M&A, capital markets, and investor communications.
  • Are committed to continuous learning and staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
