As the Head of Global Markets, you play a critical role in our Prime Services division, directly reporting to the Global Head of Prime Services. The position involves steering the strategic vision, P&L management, and institutional expansion of the Global Markets segment. The ideal candidate is adept at steering business units generating $100M+ in annual revenue and overseeing significant institutional-scale balance sheets.
In this position, you will lead a team of 20+ professionals spanning from junior roles to Managing Directors. A comprehensive understanding of the product at a technical level is necessary, coupled with the ability to drive revenue concurrently with nurturing a pipeline for future product enhancements. You thrive in fast-paced environments, exhibit prowess in navigating complex institutional client requirements, and bear ultimate responsibility for managing the division's risk profile through close collaboration with the Risk team.
Required Technical Skills:
- Comprehensive Expertise: Deep understanding of Global Markets, spanning Spot, Prime Financing, and Derivatives, enabling strategic guidance within a 24/7 global trading cycle.
- Risk Management Proficiency: Acting as the primary stakeholder for managing risks within the division, including market, credit, and operational risks, in collaboration with the Risk team.
- Capital Allocation: Directing the optimization and allocation of substantial institutional capital for efficient liquidity management and capital utilization across all areas.
- Revenue Generation: Steering a business unit towards exceeding $100M+ in annual revenue and ensuring sustainable growth across market fluctuations.
- Product Insight: Developing a profound understanding of the product landscape to bridge technical aspects between Product and Engineering teams and meet institutional client demands effectively.
- Scalability Excellence: Leveraging experience from high-growth entities to architect a division that upholds governance and scrutiny standards fit for public or late-stage companies.

- Consensus Building: Overcoming functional barriers to attain consensus on strategy and priorities, serving as a gatekeeper for smooth market execution.

Ideal Qualifications Include:
- Leadership Experience: 12-15+ years of senior leadership in Global Markets or Prime Services at top-tier financial institutions or digital asset platforms.
- Revenue Performance: Proven track record of managing or establishing business units generating $100M+ annual revenue.
- Team Management: Vast experience overseeing teams of 20+ professionals, including lead roles like Managing Directors.
- Balance Sheet Oversight: Competent oversight of substantial institutional-scale balance sheets.
- Product Proficiency: Advanced understanding of Spot, Prime Financing, and Derivatives products and underlying technical architecture.
- Growth Background: Acquaintance with the growth trajectory of companies leading up to IPOs or significant liquidity milestones.
- Market Acumen: In-depth understanding of digital asset market landscape and capability to lead in a 24/7 high-growth setting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field; MBA or CFA highly preferable.
