About the Opportunity
This role is part of the HR Shared Services Centre (SSC) HR policy team and reports to the Global SSC leader. The role can be based in Singapore, Hong Kong, or the United States. As an Expert, you will be responsible for various tasks related to global labor policies. You will develop a deep understanding of labor policies and regulations worldwide, allowing you to develop informed and strategic approaches to policy development and implementation. You will also enhance your project management and coordination skills, effectively managing and coordinating global policy launches and implementations. Collaboration and communication skills will be crucial as you work with diverse teams and cultures. This role will provide invaluable insight into the challenges and opportunities of a fast-paced global business environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct in-depth research to gain a comprehensive understanding of labor laws and regulations in different regions, and apply this knowledge to policy research and writing.
- Write policy proposals that align with the company's strategic needs, ensuring compliance and applicability.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external experts to facilitate the review, revision, and release process of policies, ensuring smooth implementation and timely updates.
- Conduct policy research and analysis to support the development of new businesses and markets, contributing to strategic decision-making.
- Regularly review and evaluate global employment policies to ensure compliance with regional laws, regulations, and policies.
- Provide training and guidance on labor laws and policies to ensure employee understanding and compliance with local employment regulations.
- Coordinate global policy launches to ensure successful implementation of projects.
- Utilize project management skills to drive efficient and effective policy development and implementation.
What We Look For
- Bachelor's degree or higher in human resource management, labor laws and regulations, or related fields preferred.
- More than 5 years of experience in global labor policies or related areas, preferably with a multinational company or consulting firm.
- Strong familiarity with global labor laws and regulations, and understanding of labor policies in different countries and regions. Proficiency in policy planning.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee and coordinate global policy launches and implementations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to think independently and adapt quickly to new information.
- Fluency in both English and Chinese is required, enabling effective communication and collaboration across cultures.
- Highly responsible and a team player, able to handle work pressure and adapt to global travel and working hours.
