The Opportunity
As a Summer Finance Intern at Auros, you will be exposed to various aspects of our business operations, primarily collaborating with the finance team under the guidance of the CFO. Your responsibilities will involve market assessments, data analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
This diverse role will provide you with a broad understanding of the interconnected dynamics within the blockchain industry, where you will work on projects such as:
Accounting Research and Bookkeeping
- Conducting accounting research and preparing journal entries based on findings.
- Establishing an easily accessible financial filing system.
- Compiling accounting reports for senior management.
- Performing basic bookkeeping tasks and data entry.
- Assisting in financial audits and reconciliations.
Data Collection and Analysis
- Collecting financial and operational data from multiple systems.
- Validating data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial models and projections.
Reporting and Dashboard Creation
- Participating in the preparation of monthly management reports.
- Supporting the visualization of trends and variances in financial data.
Variance Analysis
- Assisting in analyzing budget versus actual financial performance.
- Providing support for cost analysis and identifying variances.
Budgeting and Forecasting Support
- Aiding in inputting data into financial models during budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Assisting in budget preparation and tracking expenses.
Who you are
The ideal candidate will:
- Display a high level of enthusiasm and interest in working within the crypto and blockchain industry.
- Be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related business fields.
- Preferably have previous internship experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Possess strong attention to detail, communication skills, and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Require a driven individual with the ability to work autonomously.
- Have an analytical mindset and research skills.
- Be able to work proficiently in English.
