Junior Accounts Payable Accountant (9 months contract)

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Reimbursements
Review and process employee reimbursement claims following company policies and approval procedures.
Validate vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding in NetSuite.
Assist in resolving discrepancies in invoices or payments with relevant stakeholders and vendors.
Bank Reconciliations & Month-End Support
Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations, promptly addressing and resolving any issues.
Support month-end closure activities related to accounts payable and cash balances.
Maintain comprehensive documentation and audit trails for all AP and bank transactions.
Controls, Compliance & Systems
Ensure that transactions adhere to internal controls, segregation of duties, and approval matrices.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary schedules and supporting documentation.
Aid in enhancing and managing AP and expense workflows in NetSuite and related applications.
Adhere to regulatory, compliance, and operational standards pertinent to fintech/cryptocurrency firms.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts payable, finance operations, or shared services.
- Basic familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Exposure to expense management tools and invoice processing is beneficial.
- Strong focus on detail and precision.
- Capable of following processes and controls in a regulated setting.
- Excellent communication skills and open to learning in a dynamic environment.
