Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Security Engineer who is proactive and adept at finding solutions to drive secure innovation across the organization. This role involves working closely with interdisciplinary teams to enhance security in a manner that is both effective and efficient. The ideal candidate will develop practical security solutions that safeguard critical assets while supporting the business’s objectives.
Responsibilities
- Utilize extensive cybersecurity expertise in areas like blockchain, smart contracts, and wallet protection, in addition to application security, system security, and cryptographic techniques within DeFi environments.
- Implement IT Security Risk Management practices hands-on and collaborate with stakeholders to safeguard assets, data, and systems.
- Supervise cyber threat and vulnerability management processes, including coordinating penetration testing activities.
- Lead security incident response and management, ensuring timely escalation when needed.
- Perform security risk assessments for projects and third-party collaborations.
- Ensure compliance with security governance, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Develop and oversee AI security strategy and governance, facilitating safe adoption of ML technologies across products and internal workflows, with clear guidelines for data management, secure practices, and third-party interfaces.
- Design and implement controls to address AI-specific threats (e.g., prompt injection, data exposure, model misuse), integrating secure AI practices into software development lifecycle (SDLC) and engineering platforms.
- Drive AI-enabled security operations by leveraging automation and AI for enhanced threat detection, triage, and response efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of self-custody wallet experience
- Over 10 years of cybersecurity experience in regulated international settings
- Strong leadership capabilities complemented by profound technical knowledge
- Active engagement in the security community
- Background in collaborating within global, fast-paced, and multicultural teams
- Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience in managing cybersecurity operations and implementing best practices
- Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001/27701, CIS, and PCI-DSS
- Excellent communication skills and a collaboration-oriented mindset
- Keen interest in emerging cybersecurity trends and risks
