You will specifically play a supportive role in settlement operations concerning agency trading with Anchorage Digital Bank as part of the Client Operations team. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing operational processes, ensuring prompt settlements, and implementing robust risk mitigation strategies. An in-depth comprehension of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, financial operations, and risk management is essential for this position. The ideal candidate will exhibit significant technical aptitude, adeptness at handling complex tasks, organizational expertise, and outstanding communication and influence skills.
Main Responsibilities:
Technical Skills:
- Manage end-to-end processing of client operations for institutional clients, ensuring accurate and timely handling.
- Proficiency in using blockchain explorers, trading platforms, and various tools to monitor digital assets effectively.
- Understanding of accounting principles regarding digital assets, inclusive of reconciling balances and transactions across multiple platforms.
- Experience in data analysis and reporting tools for generating precise settlement reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Adaptability to diverse systems and tools like Salesforce, JIRA, and Looker.
- Support operational requirements for institutional clients in the financial services sector, encompassing familiarity with U.S. Anti-Money Laundering ("AML") standards.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Manage the reconciliation and settlement of transactions involving different digital assets swiftly, prioritize tasks efficiently, and meet deadlines, including during weekends and holidays.
- Lead projects to improve internal processes or contribute to the introduction of new tasks.
- Nurture collaborative relationships with interdepartmental teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Engage in risk assessment effectively to address complex questions and concerns.
Organizational Knowledge:
- Stay abreast of cryptocurrency industry trends, regulatory guidelines, and settlements' best practices.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of various cryptocurrencies, their underlying technologies, and the operational processes involved in custodianship.
- Share knowledge within the team to prevent dependencies on specific individuals.
- Interact effectively with internal stakeholders to address settlement-related issues.
Communication and Influence:
- Coach team members as necessary and identify potential process improvements.
- Contribute actively to discussions for enhancing processes, conveying insights effectively when collaborating with other teams.
- Cultivate relationships with partners supporting compliance and product development.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including traders, operations teams, compliance officers, and executives, to resolve settlement-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Availability to work weekends with consecutive days off during the week.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and agility to adapt quickly to emerging risks or changes in goals.
- Flexibility to work weekend and holiday shifts as per operational requirements.
- Minimum of 3 years experience supporting institutional client settlement activities, with familiarity in back-office workflows.
- Robust knowledge of traditional financial services, products, and strategies relevant for strategic client support.
- Background in interacting with institutional clients within financial services, coupled with AML proficiency.
- Understanding of the crypto industry, token/protocol landscape, and associated verticals like staking and governance.
- Quick-learning capabilities to adapt to evolving business strategies and new tasks.
Additional Skills (Optional):
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or database querying languages.
- Familiarity with TRM, CipherTrace, or Jira tools.
