Responsibilities
Develop and manage compliance policies and processes specific to Mexico.
Ensure continuous monitoring and reporting of compliance activities.
Coordinate various regulatory filings in foreign jurisdictions.
Conduct internal compliance policy reviews, including ongoing assessments, staff training, and audits.
Provide recommendations to enhance the organization's systems, controls, and processes.
Maintain monitoring registers and other necessary records to demonstrate compliance efforts.
Assist in ensuring overall compliance with the regulations set by Mexico's Financial Intelligence Unit and other pertinent authorities.
Requirements
Demonstrated interest or experience in the fintech industry.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk, fraud, compliance, AML, or regulatory roles, with a preference for experience in regulated financial services businesses in compliance or legal roles.
Professional certification in compliance risk management.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment while collaborating effectively with teams in multiple locations.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to offer effective counsel.
