The Flawless People Team

Join the dynamic Flawless People Team, a close-knit group based in London that collaborates closely with the Talent Acquisition team in Santa Monica, CA, and the UK and US TA teams. Responsible for designing the employee experience, partnering with business leaders, and managing day-to-day People processes, we emphasize teamwork and individual autonomy to lead in their areas of focus. Our core principles revolve around human-centered actions aligned with business goals.

Role Overview

In this role, you will serve as the People Operations Partner for Flawless's US-based employees. Working with a diverse team of Researchers, Applied Scientists, VFX and Post-Production Specialists, and Commercial team members, you will be instrumental in molding company culture and establishing People processes from the ground up.

This multidimensional position encompasses business partnering, people projects, and people operations, offering opportunities to spearhead company-wide people initiatives across all levels of Flawless.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operational People processes in the US, including payroll, visas, and onboarding
  • Develop US-specific policies and customize company-wide People processes for the US team
  • Manage interactions with our EOR (currently Rippling)
  • Offer guidance and coaching to managers on various ER and People-related issues
  • Coach line managers in leadership and people management
  • Collaborate with leaders in Santa Monica to enhance engagement strategies
  • Act as the primary contact for all US employees, addressing queries and supporting their growth
  • Lead US employee benefits operations
  • Work with the Head of TA and the London People Team on the compensation philosophy and salary band creation
  • Assist US leaders in crafting employee career frameworks
  • Drive the local implementation of global People initiatives

Who You Are

  • Skilled operator adept at navigating ambiguity, resourceful in executing tasks and initiatives independently
  • Extensive experience as a People generalist, spanning People operations, employee relations, and some business partnering responsibilities
  • Forward-thinking People professional with a keen understanding of how employee experience influences business success
  • Proficient in California employment law and adept at operating independently in the US
  • Highly operational with the ability to develop policies and playbooks for core People processes
  • Capable of balancing people-centric solutions with business needs
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships and enhancing culture
  • Ideally familiar with working in startups or scale-ups, specifically in technology or production organizations
  • Deep knowledge of benefits ranging from 401(k)s to health plans
  • Balanced approach to People practices, mitigating risks while supporting the business effectively
  • Comfortable maneuvering between operational, tactical, and strategic People tasks
  • Dedicated to fostering a positive culture and exceptional employee experience to drive team success

Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 per year
