Responsibilities:
As a pivotal member of the strategic, global policy, and communications division, the Director of Policy & Regulatory Strategy at Circle will play a crucial role in collaborating with legal, compliance, finance, and other relevant teams. The primary focus will involve close engagement with key regulatory authorities in targeted markets to facilitate successful operational activities. Additionally, this role demands active involvement in promoting conducive regulatory environments worldwide and monitoring the evolving global landscape of digital currencies and blockchain-based payment systems.
Key Duties:
- Develop strategic regulatory engagement plans aligned with company market expansion strategies.
- Conduct pertinent regulatory assessments in target regions alongside legal and compliance counterparts.
- Drive global market expansion initiatives in collaboration with partners and priority markets.
- Formulate regulatory responses, feedback submissions, and engaging with external stakeholders.
- Foster strategic alliances to collectively advance the regulatory agenda within the Web3 ecosystem.
- Engage with various business units and cross-functional teams to enhance overall business performance.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in legal, policy, regulatory matters within emerging technology and financial services sectors, including 5 years in managerial roles.
- Possess strategic insights, industry relationships, and technical acumen at government and policymaking levels.
- Demonstrated expertise in regulatory engagement within payment and financial services domains.
- In-depth understanding of APAC policy, regulatory frameworks, and licensing requirements in digital currencies and blockchain space.
- Proven track record in building and managing diverse teams across global locations to achieve desired outcomes.
