Description
As a Reliability Engineer, you will contribute significantly to enhancing the performance of systems and driving continuous improvement efforts at our mining facilities. Your primary responsibilities will involve identifying reliability risks, analyzing equipment failures, and implementing necessary corrective actions. Your focus will encompass thermal management in both air and liquid systems, acoustics, control systems enhancements, and conducting root cause investigations, often in collaboration with various teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations on CFD and airflow to optimize the thermal performance of mining infrastructure
- Apply expertise in hydrodynamics and liquid cooling to support immersion and direct-to-chip cooling systems
- Troubleshoot and enhance control systems for critical infrastructure and equipment
- Identify and address acoustic and noise-related issues through audio dynamics studies
- Collaborate with internal teams and oversee third-party technical vendors on reliability-driven projects
- Lead or provide support for SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Reports) and utilize 8D problem-solving methodologies
- Perform comprehensive failure analyses of equipment and infrastructure components
- Formulate and monitor corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA)
- Assist in process improvement and reliability projects while adopting a manufacturing-oriented mindset
- Perform any additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in reliability, maintenance, or systems engineering, preferably in data centers, manufacturing, or crypto mining environments
- Demonstrated expertise in thermal management systems and liquid cooling technologies
- Familiarity with CFD tools and acoustic measurement techniques
- Practical experience in controls systems diagnostics like PLCs and BMS
- Strong problem-solving skills with knowledge of methodologies such as 8D, FMEA, and RCA
- Excellent communication skills essential for engaging with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Background in manufacturing environments or process reliability considered advantageous
Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
