We are in the process of creating a cutting-edge platform within the Risk team to efficiently manage and process extensive datasets. As a Senior Big Data Engineer, your role involves utilizing state-of-the-art technologies to architect, develop, optimize, and maintain robust data pipelines, data warehouses, data governance structures, scalable data architectures, and effective data systems.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the risk business team to aid in developing risk-focused data systems.
- Architect and manage the risk data mart to ensure reusable thematic data across diverse risk domains.
- Govern data assets comprising tasks, tables, metrics, labels, and dashboards. Establish and enforce governance standards and procedures while driving successful governance initiatives.
- Create data products and enhance the productization and intelligence of risk data formulation, management, and application.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study.
- Proficiency in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Presto, and Hive, and practical exposure to Spark task optimization.
- Proficient in designing data warehouse subject models, metrics systems, data quality control, and data governance.
- Over 2 years of backend development experience with fluency in programming languages like Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Strong grasp of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and server-side technologies.
- Skilled in database design and management for both SQL and NoSQL systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, and tools like Docker and Kubernetes for containerization.
- Excellent analytical skills, strong communication (verbal and written), proficiency in project management, and experience in cross-functional team collaboration for requirements gathering and prioritization.
- Proficiency in English to facilitate coordination with overseas partners and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of risk-related business domains.
