Role Responsibilities:

As a pivotal member of the Data Engineering Web3 team at Circle, the Senior Data Engineer will spearhead the management of ETL/ELT pipelines and the data warehouse overseeing trend analysis and activity monitoring within the Web3 product suite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business teams to design, deploy, and enhance a scalable data platform for processing, storing, aggregating, and serving datasets to internal and customer-facing applications.
  • Showcase domain expertise in data modeling, pipelines, quality, and warehousing.
  • Construct and maintain robust data ETL/ELT pipelines for gathering essential data, optimizing warehouse functions, and enhancing operational performance.
  • Integrate with external platforms to source and qualify diverse datasets.
  • Facilitate data analytics for informed decision-making through visualization tools.
  • Tight collaboration with cross-functional teams for effective data management, governance, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements for Senior Data Engineer (III):

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on data engineering experience
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Scala, or Python
  • Advanced expertise in SQL for big data warehousing systems
  • In-depth understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Previous experience with workflow orchestration engines and Cloud Services
  • Knowledge in building scalable infrastructure for large data volumes, especially in web3 and blockchain protocols
