Senior Engineering Manager - Wallets

BitGo, a leading provider of digital asset financial services for institutional investors, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Wallets Onboarding team based in Bangalore, India. The ideal candidate will work closely with counterparts in the US, requiring hands-on coding to gain a deep understanding of BitGo and blockchain components. Over time, the successful candidate is expected to actively contribute to the technical work of the team.

Responsibilities:

• Drive BitGo's business growth by developing top-tier systems for institutional clients.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to define and execute the product and technical vision effectively.
• Coach team members and the broader engineering department regularly.
• Ensure the quality and timely delivery of the team's projects.
• Oversee the availability and performance of critical services from end to end.
• Promote best practices in engineering design and usability, setting an example for the team.
• Encourage comprehensive documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Partner with management and product teams to plan, estimate, and prioritize roadmap objectives.
• Work closely with company leadership to identify and address upcoming opportunities and risks.
• Foster a company-wide culture of open communication, collaboration, accountability, craftsmanship, and a client-first approach within the engineering team.
• Coordinate with stakeholders globally, including those in the US, possibly requiring availability during PST/EST time.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
• Cryptocurrency experience or an interest in the field.
• Successful history of onboarding into a new organization as a manager.
• Proven track record of recruiting top engineering talent, including managers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead company-wide engineering initiatives.
• Experiences in collaborating with product teams to develop product roadmaps.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with business stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
