Senior Finance & Tax Manager

We are seeking a qualified Senior Finance & Tax Manager to oversee finance and tax operations for our regulated entity alongside shared service entities in Brazil. This role demands in-depth expertise in Brazilian tax regulations and substantial experience in financial management within regulated sectors.
Responsibilities
Tax:
- Lead all aspects of Brazilian tax compliance, reporting, and planning, such as IRPJ/CSLL, PIS/COFINS, and ISS/ICMS (where applicable)
- Ensure the timely and accurate submission of ECF, ECD, DCTF, EFD-Contribuições, and other SPED obligations
- Manage tax audits, inspections, and assessments by relevant authorities
- Stay abreast of changes in Brazilian tax legislation, evaluating their impact on the business
- Develop tax optimization strategies aligned with compliance requirements and business goals
- Supervise tax provisioning and effective tax rate management
Finance & Accounting:
- Oversee monthly closing processes in adherence to BR GAAP/IFRS
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and internal reports
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities
- Provide support for external audits and regulatory reporting obligations
- Strengthen internal control mechanisms and governance frameworks
Regulatory & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory bodies, such as the Central Bank, CVM, SUSEP, based on entity classification
- Assist in regulatory filings and engagements with regulatory bodies
- Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams on regulatory affairs
International & Strategic Support (Nice to Have):
- Offer guidance on cross-border transactions and structures
- Aid in addressing international tax considerations, particularly within LatAm
- Coordinate with global teams on transfer pricing, intercompany transactions, and tax reporting
Business Partnering:
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership for analyzing tax implications of new products and business expansion strategies
- Provide financial and tax insights to support decision-making
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field
- Extensive experience in Brazilian tax legislation (mandatory)
- Demonstrated expertise in tax compliance, financial reporting, and working within regulated environments
- Previous experience managing audits and engaging with tax authorities
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English
- Strong analytic capabilities and problem-solving skills
- High level of accountability and ownership
- Ability to navigate complex and evolving regulatory landscapes
- Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience in international tax, with a preference for LatAm exposure
- Familiarity with fintech/payments/crypto industries and cross-border structures
- Knowledge of transfer pricing and inter-company flows
