Responsibilities
- Manage accounting, tax, internal controls, cost management, accounts payable, and regulatory reporting functions for OKX Bahamas
- Prepare financial statements for audits, regulatory compliance, and internal reporting
- Coordinate the month-end closing process for the local entity and align it with the consolidated group
- Customize the consolidated group's cost management system to meet local requirements
- Supervise accounts payable operations and monitor all company expenses
- Lead the financial statements audit for OKX Bahamas
- Establish internal controls for accurate financial reporting
- Develop efficient and automated financial reporting processes and analytics
- Stay informed of regulatory changes and tax obligations in the Bahamas jurisdiction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- 8+ years of relevant experience in financial services, payments, fintech, or crypto industries
- Thorough knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) and tax laws
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and performance reporting
- Familiarity with cost management frameworks and linking them with accounts payable processes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
- Demonstrated experience leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong decision-making skills and effective communication with senior management
- Independent problem solver with a proactive approach to completing tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or CPA certification
- Experience collaborating across different time zones and cultural settings
