Senior Manager/ Manager, Business Development (Institutional/ VIP Sales) - APAC & EMEA
About the Role
As a Manager / Senior Manager of Institutional/VIP Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving institutional and VIP growth for the organization across the APAC and EMEA regions. In a dynamic market environment where traditional assets are being tokenized and regulations are reshaping the institutional landscape, your primary focus will be to identify and seize opportunities within a diverse client base. This role is well-suited for a proactive individual who can expertly navigate the sales process for established and emerging crypto offerings with high enthusiasm.
You will serve as a crucial link between institutional clients and a range of digital asset solutions offered by the company, encompassing the Exchange, OTC desk, Custody, CFD brokerage, and tokenized asset offerings. Leveraging your industry expertise, you will onboard valuable partners and collaborate closely with senior management to implement growth strategies, while also having autonomy over your personal sales objectives and client portfolio.
Job Responsibilities
Pipeline Execution: Actively source, present, and bring aboard institutional prospects, specifically targeting various entities such as hedge funds, family offices, trading firms, and asset managers in APAC and EMEA with an interest in digital assets and tokenized assets.
RWA Sales: Promote the adoption of tokenized real-world assets among institutional clients by educating them on product features, use cases, and risk profiles associated with asset-backed instruments.
Solution Selling: Skillfully showcase the comprehensive offerings of the company, including the Exchange, OTC desk, Custody, CFD liquidity, and tokenized assets, aligning them with the precise needs of institutional traders and portfolio managers.
Onboarding Management: Oversee the complete onboarding process, collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure a smooth transition for new clients across all core product lines and tokenized asset verticals.
Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for your client base, enhancing retention rates and identifying opportunities to promote tokenized assets and new Exchange products.
Market Insights: Convey feedback to the Product and Strategy teams on competitor platforms, trends in the retail/CFD brokerage sphere, developments in tokenized assets, client concerns, and regulatory trends unique to APAC and EMEA.
Sales Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of sales activities and projections within the CRM system, providing regular updates on key performance indicators like Trading Volume, AUM, and transaction flow of tokenized assets.
Job Requirements
Experience: Possess 4–12 years of experience in Institutional Sales, Business Development, or Relationship Management within FinTech, Traditional Finance, or regulated derivatives/exchanges. Consideration given to both mid-level (Manager) and senior (Senior Manager) professionals.
Domain Knowledge: Demonstrate at least 2 years of focused experience in digital assets, with a solid grasp of spot/derivatives trading, custody procedures, and familiarity with tokenized assets.
CFD & Retail Broker Understanding: Exhibit a strong comprehension of CFD products and the retail brokerage ecosystem, including broker-LP relationships and retail flow interactions with institutional liquidity. Prior experience within CFD/retail broker operations is highly desirable.
RWA Familiarity: Possess working knowledge of tokenized real-world assets like on-chain fixed income, equities, and commodity-backed tokens; previous sales or business development experience in this field is advantageous.
Network: Maintain an existing network of institutional contacts across APAC and/or EMEA, comprising crypto-native funds, asset managers, family offices, and retail/CFD brokers with an interest in emerging digital asset sectors.
Technical Literacy: Capable of engaging in discussions on API connectivity, FIX protocol, sub-account structures, and on-chain settlement processes with client technical teams.
Execution Focus: Proven track record of meeting or surpassing individual sales quotas and volume targets across multiple product categories.
Communication: Possess strong presentation skills to facilitate discussions with Portfolio Managers, Operations Heads, Broker CEOs, and senior stakeholders on topics including crypto derivatives, CFDs, and tokenization of real-world assets.
Agility: Embrace a "startup" mindset, enabling quick adjustments as market dynamics, product offerings, and regulatory landscapes evolve in APAC and EMEA regions.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 annually
