Senior Manager/ Manager, Business Development (Institutional/ VIP Sales) - APAC & EMEA
The institutional sales team is seeking individuals to spearhead the development of institutional and high-net-worth client relationships within the APAC and EMEA regions at Crypto.com. This role offers the exciting opportunity to guide clients through the process of engaging with crypto instruments, including introducing them to innovative digital asset products. If assigned to the operations team, you will collaborate with various stakeholders such as sales traders, account managers, and sales managers to support the growth of Crypto.com's infrastructure.
About the Role
As a Manager or Senior Manager in the Institutional/VIP Sales department, you will play a crucial role in driving Crypto.com's institutional and VIP expansion in APAC and EMEA. In a dynamic market environment where traditional asset tokenization and regulated derivatives are reshaping the institutional landscape, you will lead in identifying and capitalizing on opportunities across a diverse client base. This challenging position needs an energetic individual adept at managing the complete sales lifecycle for established crypto products and emerging institutional sectors.
You will serve as a liaison between institutional clients and Crypto.com's comprehensive digital asset services, including the Exchange, OTC desk, Custody services, CFD/retail brokerage flows, and tokenized real-world asset offerings. Leveraging your expertise in the industry, you will onboard valuable partners and work closely with senior management to implement growth strategies autonomously while meeting individual sales objectives.
Responsibilities
Pipeline Execution: Actively source, pitch, and onboard institutional prospects, with a focus on hedge funds, family offices, proprietary trading firms, retail/CFD brokers, and asset managers in APAC and EMEA interested in digital assets and real-world asset products.
RWA Sales: Promote adoption of Crypto.com's tokenized real-world asset offerings to institutional clients; educate prospects on the product's mechanics, use cases, and risk profiles.
Solution Selling: Effectively present the full range of Crypto.com services to meet the specific requirements of institutional traders, retail brokers, and portfolio managers.
Onboarding Management: Lead the end-to-end onboarding process, collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure a seamless experience for new clients.
Relationship Management: Act as the main point of contact for your client portfolio, focusing on retention and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling financial products.
Market Insights: Provide feedback to the Product and Strategy teams on competitor platforms, retail/CFD broker space, developments in the real-world asset market, regulatory trends, and client preferences in APAC and EMEA.
Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and forecasts in the CRM system, offering regular updates on key performance indicators like Trading Volume, Assets Under Management, and real-world asset transactions.
Requirements
Experience: 4–12 years in Institutional Sales, Business Development, or Relationship Management within FinTech, Traditional Finance, or regulated derivatives/exchange environments at Manager or Senior Manager level.
Domain Knowledge: Minimum of 2 years in the digital asset industry, with in-depth knowledge of spot/derivatives trading, custody processes, and familiarity with real-world asset products.
CFD & Retail Broker Understanding: Proficiency in CFD products and retail brokerage ecosystem, including broker-LP relationships and retail-institutional liquidity interactions. Experience with CFD/retail brokers highly preferred.
RWA Familiarity: Understanding of tokenized real-world assets (e.g., on-chain fixed income, equities, commodity-backed tokens), direct sales or business development experience in this area is advantageous.
Network: Established institutional contacts across APAC and/or EMEA, such as crypto-native funds, HFT firms, asset managers, family offices, and retail/CFD brokers with an interest in emerging digital asset sectors.
Technical Skills: Ability to discuss API connectivity, FIX protocol, sub-account structures, and on-chain settlement processes with client technical teams.
Execution Focus: Demonstrated track record of meeting or surpassing sales quotas and volume targets across various products.
Communication: Strong presentation skills to engage with various stakeholders on topics including cryptocurrency derivatives, CFDs, and real-world asset tokenization.
Agility: Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions, product offerings, and regulatory environments across APAC and EMEA.
