Senior Manager/ Manager, Business Development (Institutional/ VIP Sales) - APAC & EMEA
The sales team is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager for Institutional/VIP Sales to drive growth across APAC and EMEA. You will be responsible for expanding the clientele base by onboarding institutional and high-net-worth clients, introducing them to crypto instruments and unique custom crypto products. Collaboration with various stakeholders and contributing to the scaling of the organizational infrastructure are pivotal aspects of this role.
Role Overview:
As a Manager/Senior Manager in Institutional/VIP Sales, you will play a crucial role in the strategic growth of Crypto.com within the institutional and VIP domains across APAC and EMEA. In a dynamic market environment, focusing on the tokenization of real-world assets, you will be at the forefront of identifying and seizing opportunities among a diverse client base. This position requires a proactive individual with exceptional sales acumen to navigate through the entire sales cycle, encompassing established crypto offerings and emerging institutional segments.
Your role entails bridging the gap between institutional clients and Crypto.com's range of digital asset services, which include the Exchange, OTC desk, Custody, CFD/retail brokerage flows, and tokenized RWA offerings. Leveraging your industry expertise, you will onboard valuable partners, closely collaborate with senior leadership to implement growth strategies, and autonomously manage personal sales targets and business portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
Pipeline Development: Source, pitch, and onboard institutional prospects, specifically targeting a variety of clients such as hedge funds, family offices, proprietary trading firms, and asset managers from APAC and EMEA interested in digital assets and RWA products.
RWA Promotion: Promote the adoption of Crypto.com's tokenized RWA offerings to institutional clients by educating them on product mechanics, use cases, and risk profiling related to asset-backed instruments.
Business Solution Articulation: Effectively present the full suite of Crypto.com services (Exchange, OTC desk, Custody, CFD liquidity, and RWA instruments) to meet the specific requirements of institutional traders, retail brokers, and portfolio managers.
Client Onboarding Management: Lead the end-to-end onboarding process in collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure a seamless experience for new clients across all core product lines and RWA verticals.
Client Relationship Management: Act as the main point of contact for your business portfolio to enhance retention, identify upselling opportunities, and recommend new products such as RWA instruments and exchange offerings.
Industry Insights: Provide valuable feedback to the Product and Strategy teams on competitor analysis, retail/CFD broker landscape, RWA market dynamics, client pain points, and regulatory trends specific to APAC and EMEA.
Sales Monitoring and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and forecasts within the CRM system, submitting regular updates on key performance indicators like Trading Volume, AUM, and RWA transaction flow.
Qualifications:
Experience: 4 - 12 years in Institutional Sales, Business Development, or Relationship Management within FinTech, Traditional Finance, or a regulated derivatives/exchange environment.
Industry Knowledge: Minimum 2 years in the digital asset sector with a sound understanding of spot/derivatives trading, custodial workflows, and familiarity with RWA products.
Retail Broker Mastery: Proficient in CFD products and the retail brokerage ecosystem, with a preference for hands-on experience in a retail broker or selling to one.
RWA Acumen: Familiarity with tokenized real-world assets is beneficial; direct sales or business development experience in this area is advantageous.
Networking: Possess an established network of institutional contacts across APAC and/or EMEA with an interest in emerging digital asset verticals.
Technical Proficiency: Capable of discussing technical concepts such as API connectivity, FIX protocol, sub-account structures, and on-chain settlement mechanics with client technical representatives.
Performance Focus: Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas in various product categories.
Communication Skills: Strong presentation abilities to engage with diverse stakeholders ranging from Portfolio Managers to C-suite executives on topics including crypto derivatives, CFDs, and RWA tokenization.
Agility: Embrace a startup mindset with the flexibility to adapt quickly to evolving market conditions, product offerings, and regulatory frameworks across APAC and EMEA.
Compensation:
Annual salary range of $100,000 - $150,000 including competitive benefits and perks tailored to individual regions.
