Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel for all Genies products, from development to launch and further innovation
- Assess risks and requirements related to intellectual property, privacy, payments, consumer product, content moderation, accessibility, security, and influencer marketing
- Draft and negotiate a variety of legal agreements, including content, development, and technology license agreements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to overcome challenges and expedite projects
- Develop legal positions on novel issues and propose innovative solutions to advance business and product goals
- Analyze and provide practical and risk-tolerant analysis aligned with long-term company goals
- Support the implementation of efficient legal processes and find effective legal solutions
- Contribute to key legal projects within the legal department
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school
- 6+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, including in-house experience in the social, user-generated, gaming, or consumer tech industries
- Strong foundation in product counseling and commercial agreements, with knowledge of intellectual property, privacy, consumer protection, payments, and marketing topics
- Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
