Senior Project Manager (Scrum Master)
This position requires onsite presence in Philadelphia, PA office twice weekly.
Responsibilities
- Take a leading role in managing internal and external software development and data projects, ensuring adherence to organizational processes, attainment of project milestones, and reporting on key metrics for enhanced efficiency and success.
- Utilize Project Management and Agile principles, tools, and processes to guide teams and projects towards timely, budgeted, and strategically aligned delivery, maintaining clear communication on progress and risks.
- Contribute to fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and goal achievement within the Project Management Office (PMO).
Key Duties
- Lead multiple complex software projects and teams across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to meet project objectives.
- Develop project plans, oversee task assignment and tracking, identify and mitigate risks and issues, and provide status updates to leadership levels.
- Facilitate business meetings and agile ceremonies, such as team stand-ups, retrospectives, and prioritizations as necessary.
- Lead the review of stage gates and other execution-related meetings for internal and client deliverables.
- Ensure consistency with PMO guidelines, issuing project-tracking plans to drive performance improvements.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, resources, and deliverables across multiple projects.
Success Metrics
- Successful leadership of teams and projects by adhering to PMO processes and artifacts.
- Demonstrated understanding of HealthVerity's culture, products, and customer base.
- Improving team and project performance through effective coaching, addressing blockers, and implementing enhancements related to revenue acceleration and customer satisfaction.
- Establishing and maintaining productive relationships across project teams, driving proactive communication and activities with stakeholders.
- Contribute to PMO's success by adhering to standards, delivering updates promptly, and engaging in PMO improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; CSM/PSM/PMP credentials are a plus.
- Over 5 years of experience in software development project management and technical team leadership.
- Proficient in managing projects through the complete lifecycle, from planning to execution, controlling, and closure.
- Previous experience as a traditional Project Manager leading complex software projects by utilizing proper planning, tracking, risk/issue management, and reporting tools.
- Versed in various project management methodologies and tools, including Waterfall, Iterative, Agile, and Critical Chain.
- Hands-on involvement in managing large and intricate software and customer delivery projects.
- Familiarity with Project Management tools, particularly the Atlassian suite and SmartSheet.
Salary
- $65,000 - $155,000 annually with base compensation tailored to experience, including an annual bonus opportunity.
Hiring Locations
- Preferential hire locations include Philadelphia, Boston, NYC, Baltimore, Washington D.C, Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, and Atlanta.
- Remote work available in key hub locations and approved states in the Eastern Time Zone.
