We are searching for keen Smart Contracts Engineers to enrich our Contracts Team. In this role, you will contribute to the design and implementation of Celo's core smart contracts, and establish robust practices and procedures to ensure their security. This encompasses governance structures, proof of stake mechanisms, stability protocols, and decentralized identity systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop robust code in Solidity and Typescript for production environments.
- Engage with Engineering Partners and internal/external stakeholders to define and execute modifications to core aspects like smart contracts and tools.
- Collaborate with external Smart Contract Auditors to assure the quality of proposed changes in our smart contract deployment process.
- Manage end-to-end phases of releases, from outlining specifications to design, deployment, and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of software engineering experience with a focus on Javascript and Typescript.
- Strong proficiency (1-2 years) in Solidity programming and utilizing frameworks like Foundry, Hardhat, or viem.
- Previous exposure to deploying intricate smart contract systems on public blockchains, specifically Ethereum.
- Solid comprehension of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) architecture.
- Keen interest in blockchain technology and alignment with Celo's mission.
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines and an understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
