We are presently seeking a seasoned software engineer to become part of our esteemed Bitcoin Team. BitGo conducts a substantial volume of cryptocurrency transactions, demanding that our applications be rapid, precise, scalable, and secure. Our unified platforms engage with various exchanges, organizations, and governments worldwide, leveraging state-of-the-art technology in the industry to ensure optimal functionality.

Duties:

  • Take our multi-signature Bitcoin wallets to the next level incorporating the latest Bitcoin functionalities, handling transactions on a multi-billion dollar scale monthly.
  • Take charge of the functionality, scalability, and performance of the systems that underpin our Bitcoin products.
  • Enhance, extend, and manage existing backend software interfacing with the Bitcoin blockchain.
  • Offer Bitcoin-related knowledge and expertise across the engineering team.
  • Document and expose functionality to user interfaces, external developers, internal and external tools.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Criteria:

  • Over 5 years of comprehensive full-stack software development experience.

  • Advocacy for rigorous testing processes before deployment.

  • Solid grasp of fundamental Bitcoin blockchain mechanics.
  • Proficiency in Node.JS, JavaScript, and Typescript for programming and debugging.
  • Familiarity with emerging Bitcoin features like Taproot, Descriptors, and Lightning.
  • Noteworthy contributions to open source Bitcoin-related software.
  • Experience in developing containerized applications running on Kubernetes.

Pay Transparency Information: Depending on your level and location, the compensation for this role typically ranges from $165,000 to $210,000 base salary USD. Equity, an annual performance bonus, and the stated benefits are included in the remuneration package.
