Role Impact:
As a Derivatives Senior Engineer at FalconX, you will contribute to the creation of a more open financial system. By developing robust derivatives systems and infrastructure, you will enable more institutions to enter the market and support a transparent and accessible financial ecosystem. Leading financial institutions rely on the products you build to gain seamless, efficient, and secure access to the cryptocurrency sector.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop highly responsive derivatives systems.
- Provide guidance and education to the engineering team on derivatives systems.
- Collaborate on the future enhancement of post-trade operations, including settlements, confirmations, position engineering, and regulatory reporting.
- Foster collaboration within cross-functional teams, working with design, product management, traders, and trade operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Previous experience in the financial industry, particularly with derivatives like options, futures, swaps, etc.
- Proficiency in Python programming language.
- Strong knowledge of derivatives pricing and valuation, including different types of derivatives and mathematical models used.
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Excellent communication skills with a detail-oriented approach to operations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
Compensation:
Base pay for this position is projected to range between $155,000 and $245,000 USD. This estimate is based on current information. In addition, the successful candidate may receive other forms of compensation such as performance-linked bonuses, equity, and a competitive benefits package. The final compensation will be determined considering factors such as skillset, experience, and qualifications.
