Key Responsibilities:

Joining the USDC Smart Contract team, you will be tasked with developing and scaling smart contracts for USDC across diverse blockchain protocols such as Ethereum, Solana, and Cosmos. As a Senior/Staff Software Engineer, your role will involve leading the technical aspects of smart contract implementation.

Primary Duties:

• Design, construct, test, and deploy smart contracts to ensure secure and efficient transactions.
• Improve existing smart contracts to enhance developer productivity, safety, and overall effectiveness.
• Implement security protocols and optimization strategies to uphold best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments and devise mitigation plans to fortify the security and resilience of smart contracts on varied blockchain networks.

Requirements:

Senior Software Engineer (III)

• 4+ years of professional software development experience with focus on internships.
• 2+ years of proven expertise in smart contract development on blockchain platforms.
• Proficiency in non-EVM languages like Rust or Go for smart contract programming.
• Demonstrated skill in architecting, coding, testing, and deploying secure smart contracts.
• Strong knowledge of security practices and successful implementation in smart contract development.
• Passion for staying up-to-date with blockchain trends to drive innovation.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset for addressing challenges in smart contract development.
• Ability to conduct independent research and offer innovative solutions.

Staff Software Engineer (IV)

All the requisites of a Senior Software Engineer with:

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including internships.
• 4+ years of practical experience in smart contract development on blockchain networks.
• Proficiency in non-EVM languages and tech stacks.
• Profound understanding of blockchain principles and protocols in web3 ecosystems.
• Strong leadership skills to guide technical teams, mentor junior developers, and collaborate effectively across departments.
• Effective communication skills for team consensus and stakeholder management.

Compensation Scales:

Senior Software Engineer (III)

• Base Pay Range: $147,500 - $195,000
• Annual Bonus Target: 12.5%

Staff Software Engineer (IV)

• Base Pay Range: $172,500 - $227,500
• Annual Bonus Target: 15%
