Who You Are:

As the Vice President of Tax Information Reporting and Withholding, you will oversee all U.S. and non-U.S. tax information reporting and withholding activities for Galaxy's various business units. Working closely with Legal, Finance, Operations, external advisors, and relevant departments, you will report directly to the Head of Tax.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead tax information reporting and withholding tasks for both U.S. and non-U.S. entities, including form filing, tax compliance, client validation, and regulatory adherence.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and technological solutions to ensure compliance with tax information reporting regulations.
  • Provide guidance on tax regulations, address inquiries from internal stakeholders, and interpret new tax guidelines.
  • Stay updated on reporting and withholding tax requirements, assess their impact on products and services, and advise internal functions accordingly.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law
  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience in tax information reporting and withholding, preferably within the financial sector
  • In-depth knowledge of tax laws related to financial products and services
  • Expertise in cost basis reporting, Form 1099-B reporting, and internal reporting system development
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and analytical skills

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with digital asset taxation
  • Familiarity with new digital asset reporting regulations
  • Proficiency in automating tax processes

Note on Salary:

Base salary ranges from $170,000 to $200,000 USD. Final compensation amounts are determined by various factors including experience, expertise, and local market conditions.
