Description

As a Web Experience Designer & Payload Developer, you will have a significant role in crafting and constructing the upcoming iteration of our content-centric web experiences. Your duties will involve creating reusable templates, integrating them within Payload CMS, and producing modular components and widgets that facilitate efficient content production scalability for our teams. This blended role merges design proficiency with practical front-end development and CMS assimilation to guarantee our digital platforms are visually captivating and technically sound.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy reusable page templates (e.g., product landing pages) that are consistent with the brand and easily scalable.
  • Generate designs in Figma for evaluation.
  • Construct and set up these templates in Payload CMS to allow editors seamless management and reuse possibilities.
  • Devise and implement reusable widgets/components (e.g., author profile cards, live pricing blocks, rich content sections).
  • Work closely with Organic Growth, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment of templates and widgets with performance, UX, and SEO/AIO requirements.
  • Ensure uniform application of responsive design and accessibility standards to all components.
  • Integrate external data sources (e.g., APIs for pricing, content feeds) into CMS-powered components.
  • Offer technical documentation and training to internal teams on maximizing the usage and scalability of the systems you construct.
  • Keep up-to-date with design and front-end development best practices along with the evolution of CMS frameworks to introduce innovative elements to our web experience.

Requirements

  • Over 4 years of experience in web design and front-end development, preferably within global or content-rich settings.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Payload CMS (or similar headless CMS platforms like Strapi, Sanity, Contentful) encompassing content structuring and custom component creation.
  • Solid design capabilities demonstrated through a portfolio featuring UI/UX and component-driven systems.
  • Proficiency in contemporary front-end technologies (React/Next.js, TypeScript, CSS frameworks).
  • Ability to design and code reusable widgets and components that seamlessly integrate with CMS workflows.
  • Knowledge in accessibility, responsive design principles, and performance enhancement.
  • Experience dealing with APIs and dynamic data integrations.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication and collaboration skills, adept at collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Independent, detail-focused, and capable of delivering promptly in a fast-paced environment.
