Job Summary
The company is seeking a meticulous and seasoned Accountant to oversee critical financial operations, such as journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing duties. The ideal candidate should exhibit a solid grasp of accounting principles, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the capacity to drive operational enhancements within a dynamic setting. This role involves collaborating with internal parties to ensure precise financial reporting and adherence to accounting regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately, adhering to accounting standards.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and rectify any discrepancies between system data and financial records.
- Analyze and resolve variances, proactively seeking ways to mitigate recurring discrepancies.
- Evaluate operational procedures, pinpoint inefficiencies, and implement enhancements to improve financial processes.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to facilitate a seamless month-end closing process and ensure timely financial reporting.
- Uphold compliance with relevant accounting guidelines, policies, and internal controls.
- Manage ad-hoc tasks and offer financial assistance as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline; ACCA or CPA certification is advantageous.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience, which includes audit experience with prominent firms.
- Strong technical expertise in accounting and hands-on involvement in a fast-paced setting.
- Attention to detail with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while fostering effective collaboration across diverse teams.
- Demonstrated adaptability, results-oriented mindset, and proactive problem-solving approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal proficiencies for engaging with stakeholders of all levels.
