Description

This role is pivotal, requiring a high level of autonomy to drive the development and growth of the affiliate acquisition channel for a leading cryptocurrency company's sports predictions product. The successful candidate will play a key entrepreneurial role, tasked with creating, implementing, and expanding the program within the US regulated derivatives and predictions industry.

The Affiliate Marketing Lead will be responsible for driving substantial channel expansion, focusing on key performance indicators such as Brand Awareness, New Customer Acquisition, and Trading Activity. Success in this position demands swift execution, strong negotiation abilities, and the capacity to generate revenue during crucial sports seasons.

Responsibilities

  • Foundational Build: Take charge of the affiliate program's full lifecycle, progressing swiftly from identifying and recruiting partners to setting up effective management and optimization procedures for the sports predictions product.
  • Diversified Sourcing: Identify and integrate a wide array of partners, including sports publications, display networks, sub-affiliate networks, and strategic API widget integrations.
  • Vendor/Agency Management: Work with external agencies to implement segments of the partnership strategy, ensuring alignment with compliance and performance benchmarks.
  • Incentive Development: Collaborate with the Sports Prediction Growth Hacker to create, test, and implement customized affiliate incentives and campaign strategies.
  • Positioning: Seamlessly integrate the product voice and positioning across all affiliate touchpoints and offer continuous partner feedback to refine market positioning in the US.

Rapid Execution and Revenue Capture

  • Event-Driven Growth: Promote key sports events and prediction markets aggressively to maximize revenue across the partner network during critical periods.
  • High-Velocity Execution: Maintain a rapid pace to synchronize with product development cycles, promptly marketing new features and market offerings.
  • Risk and Volatility Management: Quickly adapt to unforeseen changes in regulations, product availability, and budget adjustments driven by market volatility.

Compliance Leadership and Vetting

  • Regulatory Problem-Solving: Serve as the primary liaison for compliance, working with Legal and Compliance teams to address ambiguities and implement scalable, compliant solutions.
  • Due Diligence: Oversee the partner vetting process, ensuring regular exchange of affiliate data with the Compliance department.
  • Content Monitoring: Utilize regulated compliance software to review partner content against specified guidelines.

Cross-Functional Influence and Communication

  • Stakeholder Reporting: Utilize reporting tools to measure and present growth and channel value to senior management.
  • Event Representation: Participate in critical industry events to recruit partners and represent the product.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing and building affiliate programs, particularly in US Sports Betting (OSB), financial services, or regulated gaming.
  • Proven track record in establishing affiliate programs from scratch or launching new acquisition channels in highly regulated markets.
  • Proficiency with affiliate marketing tools.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure partnership agreements and manage relationships.
  • Ability to navigate and excel in ambiguous environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with mobile attribution platforms.
  • Experience in API/widget integrations and non-traditional partner collaborations.
  • Knowledge of US state-level considerations for gaming or financial products.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 per year
