Assistant Manager, Global Accounts Payable
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with a strong tech background to take charge of our Accounts Payable operations and enhance system efficiencies. The role involves supervising a small team and managing the end-to-end procure-to-pay process for various global entities.
The ideal candidate excels in maintaining operational excellence while actively collaborating with teams to automate and improve financial workflows.
Responsibilities
Supervise the entire Accounts Payable process for global entities, ensuring accurate coding, proper documentation, and timely payments.
Serve as the central resource for Accounts Payable, collaborating closely with regional accountants globally to standardize practices, resolve discrepancies, and ensure precise month-end closure.
Identify opportunities to streamline AP processes, implement automation, and reinforce internal financial controls.
Develop, update, and uphold clear, comprehensive SOPs and guides for all AP and expense management workflows.
Support both external and internal audit procedures.
Requirements
A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with a background in managing a multi-entity Accounts Payable or shared services function preferred.
Proficiency in using NetSuite, Zip, Emburse, Brex, and setting up Virtual cards.
Demonstrated experience in automated invoice matching workflows (2-way/3-way matching) and managing audit trails within modern ERP systems.
Strong Excel skills, particularly in Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
Excellent analytical, project management, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal control teams, regional accountants, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Highly organized with strong prioritization abilities.
