Assistant Manager, Internal Controls
The Finance & Administration team encompasses a variety of functions including Financial Control & Business Performance Management, Procurement, Digital Transformation, Tax, Treasury, and Operations. The team collaborates to optimize global finance initiatives, showcasing a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise to management for implementing or enhancing controls over financial reporting, advising on the necessary detective, preventive, and corrective measures for efficient operations.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive SOX program to identify key financial reporting controls.
- Supervise SOX-related activities, including internal controls documentation, testing, monitoring, and segregation of duties.
- Establish processes and controls that lay the groundwork for SOX compliance.
- Conduct regular internal control testing to ensure adherence to SOX standards.
- Perform analytical reviews of business processes and controls to identify risks, deficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate and potentially lead efforts to address audit deficiencies.
- Identify and provide training to address compliance gaps related to internal controls.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes, industry methodologies, and key focus areas.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and certification in accounting/auditing (CPA, CIA, CISA, PMP)
- 4+ years of experience, preferably in Fintech, Big 4, or consulting firms
- Proficient in internal audit standards, SOX, ITGC, PCAOB auditing standards, and COSO
- Experience evaluating business risks and assessing internal control effectiveness
- Demonstrated success in enhancing internal audit functions and fostering strong business relationships
- Ability to delve into details while effectively presenting results to management
- Detail-oriented and analytical, with the capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Adaptable to change and different cultural environments
- Knowledge of the crypto industry is a plus
