Blockchain Analyst (Financial Intelligence Unit)
Our Compliance Infrastructure team is responsible for managing systems, processes, and technologies supporting the organization's compliance activities, particularly within the Global Financial Crimes and Compliance Operations team. This team oversees financial crime risk management and ensures adherence to anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, and anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) regulations.
The Blockchain Analyst, reporting to the Director of Financial Crimes, will assist in various tasks supporting the Company's Compliance Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth investigations into escalated cases and conduct proactive blockchain-based investigations.
- Produce briefs and reports on various issues and translate data from different sources into comprehensive analyses.
- Provide training and guidance to other analysts on the U.S. Financial Crimes Team.
- Stay proficient in all BSA/AML compliance aspects and attend assigned BSA training sessions.
Requirements:
- Must have advanced expertise in blockchain-based investigations and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Possess a deep understanding of blockchain technology and BSA/AML regulations.
- Experience in conducting complex investigations involving multiple data sources.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective time management, and the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Relevant certifications or coursework is beneficial.
- Experience with open-source research/OSINT and knowledge of threat actors in the cryptocurrency space.
- Proficiency in a second language is advantageous.
